Tim Robert's '71 Olds Cutlass with The Supercharger Store's Gear Drive

A BBC with a F-1R ProCharger, The Supercharger Store Gear Drive, this car sees strip and street duty.

Hi Terry,

It's been a long year. Finally got the car to the Chassis Dyno a couple weeks ago and have done some street driving and thought I would bring you up to date with some new pics. The new motor is a 555 with the Profiler 12 degree heads that flow over 500 according to their numbers. Still gonna run the F1R for now.

I got the Cutlass out on the Highway for a short trip. Just amazing how clean and smooth it runs with the Blow through carb... Shifted the gearvendors unit into overdrive and was cruising @ 60 MPH with the tach reading 2200 RPM. Rolled into the throttle about halfway and wow, the thing pulled like crazy for a couple seconds then I lifted. Slowed back down to 60 MPH and rolled into it again to about half throttle. The engine was sounding awesome but didn't seem to be pulling as well as before... about that time I felt the rearend start to move around a bit so I lifted and felt the car snap back straight.

I got back home and a friend (who was behind me on the highway) called and said I left about 20 feet of black mark on the highway. LOL I'm normally not into that sort of thing but after being down for a year, it got me pretty pumped for the track. I'm hoping to run Pro Street at Ozark in Springfield, MO next year if all goes well and a few races at Gateway here in St. Louis.

Hope all is going well with you guys.

Tim
