Customer: Ken Puckett

Bob,

Sorry for the delay. I keep getting side tracked and forgot to send you pics when we actually got the project done. Your Chrysler slant six Procharger kit worked out very well. We ended up using an "Extreme Velocity" carb hat and that along with the valve cover breather location required us to make up a small 30 degree piece of 3" mandrel bent pipe to move the blower discharge pipe over some. We also had to machine up a .250" spacer adapter for the lower pulley to get the belt alignments correct, maybe due to the particular damper on this engine? Other than that the only other issue we had was getting the fuel curve correct with the PC carburetor. We ended up having to go up quite a bit with the main jet size as well as down with the high speed air bleed size. We tuned it using the WBO2 on our Mustang Chassis Dyno. Based on the customers request and intended use we ended up with nice conservative street tune with 11.5 avg. A/F at WOT, 13.8 - 14.0 A/F at cruise, and 2 degree's of timing retard per lb of boost with an MSD 6BTM. With that tune it made 230 peak RWHP with 6 lbs of boost. Not race type numbers by any means but he was more after the look and "WOW!!" factor at the car shows anyways.

The owners name is Ken Puckett. He brought the car to the Mopars at Carlisle show this summer and it was a big hit. He won several awards at the show and had quite a bit of magazine interest as well. Thanks again for the great products all your help with this project. Maybe one of these days we'll get a chance to switch one of the race cars over to one of your forward facing gear drive F3R set-ups.

Thanks again,

Pat Burke
